Beginning in June 2000 the newly formed North East Regional Havanese Club had its first fun match. Despite the 100 degree temperature and sort of feeling our way through, it was a wonderful success that continues to repeatself now under the name of the DVHC Fun Match. It is held each June and its purpose is to encourage and support novice exhibitors while teaching others about the havanese breed.
